Samsung announced cloud gaming for their Tizen smart TV platform
The company shared the news during the Samsung Developer Conference. At this time, they have not provided further details on what games would be available, what other platforms it would be available on, and when it will launch.
Cloud gaming is an area many big tech competitors are entering but is one Samsung has dabbled in before. In the 2010s, Samsung worked with Gaikai, a game streaming company to bring an early version of cloud gaming to its high-end TVs.
As Samsung enters the cloud gaming sphere in 2021, they face more competition than before. Big tech rivals, such as Google & Amazon, having their own cloud gaming offerings.
