After having been cancelled in 2020, and offered as a virtual conference in 2021, the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2022 will be an in-person, live event this year
GDC is the video game industry’s premier game developer event. Starting on March 21st and running through March 25th, the San Francisco conference will highlight new ideas, offer networking and problem-solving activities, and include a host of big gaming company speakers and breakout sessions.
Leading tech companies like Amazon, Epic, Google, Intel, Nvidia, Oculus and Sony will all show off their latest development tools.
While heavily attended by developers, the conference is actually open to all, including the investing public.
In an era of massive game company consolidation, this event may offer investors insights into what the big players are looking for in potential acquisition targets and give insights into the future of gaming.
